A Sunflower by AynCates on January 13, 2013 in Poetry

A Sunflower Tonight I feel like ripening Until I am real. I am tired of trying To get it right. I’d rather just blossom Like a sunflower And turn my face Towards the sun. God likes what Is real and true. He can reach for you then And set your heart a blaze. A flame helps us all See in the darkness. – Ayn Cates Sullivan
