Jacob Sutton

Jake Sutton has illustrated for Ayn Cates Sullivan’s fairy tale "Mother Swan" which is due to launch in 2021.

​

Jacob Sutton has an extraordinarily quick and fluent way of drawing and enjoys the challenge of capturing the character of people in a single sitting; trying to convey not just what they look like, but who they are. He has done portraits of a range range of living prominent writers and thinkers, as well as Shakespeare for the Globe Theatre. Jacob Sutton is a visiting lecturer at many colleges in the UK including Oxford and the Royal College of Art, as well as the USA & Europe. In 2012, Hillary Clinton honored him with the Concordia Award at the Plaza Hotel in New York for a charcoal portrait of an Afghan woman.
